Dunlichity Trout Fishery is set within the grounds of Dunlichity House, just 8 miles south of Inverness.
Weather permitting, the fishery is open all year (except Christmas Day), from 9.00am to 10.00pm or when it gets dark, whichever is the earlier.
The fishery consists of 2 lochans, the larger of which is approximately 3 acres, the other approximately one acre. Both lochans are well stocked with quality brown, blue, and rainbow trout varying in size from 2lb to 10lb+.
Fly fishing only is available on the lochans (barbless hooks), and experienced fly fishermen and beginners are both welcome (subject to the beginners receiving qualified tuition). Catch and Catch & Release tickets are available on a daily basis. Rod Hire is available and tuition can be arranged for beginners using one of our preferred external fly fishing instructors. Our instructors need to be contacted directly prior to your visit to agree costs, timings etc. .
All fishing is from the bank, and both lochans are easily accessible from the main car park and bothy. We can cater for business events and inter-Club competitions and are a Troutmaster water.
Anyone wishing to enjoy a prolonged stay at the Trout Fishery may wish to take advantage of their 4* B&B facilities.

Fyrish and Rhicullen are five acres each and Struie is three and a half acres.
The three well stocked lochs provide opportunities to catch, from the bank, any of the quality blue, brown or rainbow trout which range in size from approx. 1.5lb to 14lbs and above. The lochs also have many visiting birds such as ducks, swans and osprey. The Osprey is partial to a tasty trout for lunch and is one of the sights to be enjoyed whilst angling.
Bothy with kitchenette & complimentary Tea & Coffee
A large decked area in front of the Bothy makes a enjoyable place to rest, chat with fellow anglers or just absorb the panoramic view of the lochs from right here on their banks.

Wardend is just 4 ½ miles South of Elgin and the fishery has been located in a quiet sheltered valley where the constructed loch extends to almost five acres and has a spring fed water supply.
The main loch is stocked on a regular basis to maintain good catch levels with fish from 2 - 5lbs and there are reports of over wintered fish to 8lbs having been released.
The clear spring water will provide an angling challenge and considerable new landscape planting will increasingly supplement natural fly and insect life. It is expected that buzzers and nymphs will be the method of choice and top of the water sport will excel in the warmer weather. The clear water means winter nymphing is great, though more challenging.
