The fisheries consist of Lintrathen Loch and Backwater Dam. Both waters are owned by Scottish Water and are public water supplies serving Dundee and surrounding areas.
The 485 acre Lintrathen Loch, which is boat fishing only, has twenty one boats, including one wheelie boat for disabled anglers, and is stocked on a regular basis with rainbow trout, averaging 2lbs with some up to 5lbs. The loch also has a large stock of natural brownies with an average weight of ¾ lbs.
The facilities at Lintrathen consist of boathouse, office and toilet which is also suitable for the disabled. Backwater permits are also available at the Lintrathen office.

Rescobie Loch Development Association (RLDA), is managed by anglers for anglers.
RLDA was formed in the early 60's and provides good, affordable boat and bank fishing.
The Loch is a relatively shallow water of 200 acres which provides rich feeding throughout the year resulting in good quality, grown on trout. The members and committee continue to spend, hours of hard work to forming a first class Fishery with a deserved reputation for quality hard fighting , brown, rainbow and blue trout.
Fishing is run from the boathouse, which is adjacent to the B9113 Forfar to Montrose Road
